The Lee County Republican Party endorses the following candidates for the August 26th Primary. The endorsements were earned by the candidates’ commitment to the principles, values and philosophy of the Republican Party platform: less taxes, less spending, less regulations and more freedom.
The Lee County Republican Party endorsed Anita Cerecedais for County Commissioner District 3.

Editor, Daily News: Lee County’s District 3 has a challenger for the position of county commissioner. It has been 20 years with the same representation and I feel it is time for new blood and new ideas. Anita Cereceda will bring that. She comes with outstanding credentials and a history of dedicated community service. Anita is the owner of two successful businesses on Fort Myers Beach, where she was the first mayor and a leader in the complex and demanding procedures of creating the new town. She was re-elected to a second three-year term on the council. |

Dear Editor,
The arrogance of Commissioners Judah, Janes and Hall at Tuesday’s public hearing on charter amendments was unparalleled. Perhaps they need to adopt an “anti-campaigning” ordinance to keep Judah and Hall from pontificating from the dais?
The charter issue of single member districts was proposed because the people wanted it heard. The audacity of Judah and Hall to tell members of the audience that if they could get elected anyone could, is insulting! Fortunately the average voter does not have the “connections” Judah has with every Bonita Bay and Sid Kitson in town. Dear Editor,
I am writing in support of Anita Cereceda for Lee County commissioner, District 3.
Anita is a small business owner and understands the way the world works when it comes to our economy and the decisions people have to make. She understands why people like me are having a tough go of it these days. She understands what needs to be done to fix it!
Anita was also the first mayor of Fort Myers Beach. She knows how to make government work efficiently to benefit the people it should be serving. She know how taxes affect our lives and how they are driving so many people to leave this area. Read more... |
